Last two days were spent doing some final inventory. I won't be satisfied until I have touched, inspected every single part on the roughly 7100 part packing list.
It has come down to a few stray parts I can't identify. My knowledge of airframes is good enough to provide some solid hunches on this and that but until I talk to the professionals on the subject I am holding off turning a single bolt or popping a lone rivet.
I have been gone for just over a week to the beautiful Island of Jamaica where build times for experimental aircraft are estimated in decades. What a fantastic relaxed culture on the island. I would love to see some numbers stress related illnesses or a mean blood pressure statistic.
We stayed at a Villa with staff about 3km from the St Ann Parish wreck site of Christopher Columbus. Our driver was kind enough to point it out as we were driving by to a local attraction. I wanted to ask so many questions but knowing that although Mr C was a grand adventurer he was also a giant dickhead so I kept it on the down low.
I am really hoping to start assembly next weekend if I can identify the rest of these components.
