Root and Boom tube

Lots going on in this photo. My build table is recycled crate material. I made the table on casters so I can roll it around the shop and modify as I see fit. A few crate pieces to support the boom, a nice friction clamp and you are working at a comfortable level. I am not interested in the least bit at kneeling down or over for 4 or 5 hours.

The boom and root went together very nice. The AN bolts inside the tube to bulkhead were a bit of a pain to get together with one hand. After crushing my left index finger last year I have lost feeling in the end of it and usually resort to my second finger to thread things together. After fumbling in frustration for 10 min I put a thin film of elmers glue on the washer and let it tack up. The facilitated starting the nut inside the boom with one finger.
